we walked around for a lot of the day..this is on a bridge in a more residential part of Venice.

its a pretty big tourist site...its still pretty awesome. its sinking.
one of the reasons why i heart italy. each city is so different. venice (which is north) is so muslim in its architecture. rome is well...roman and greek..and florence is really tuscan. if you've ever been there..i'm sure you know what i'm talking about. its like multiple countries in one...i love it.

and heres our boatride to the island of Murano..
in Murano they're famous for glass blowing (hence Murano glass). we watched glass blowing, which if you've never seen it is absolutely remarkable. they heat up the glass and then they shape it and blow into a straw that makes it hollow and creates a vase. its awesome.
