More of Londy

Belle and I got these awesome shades..ala Kanye...

this was at the tower of london...where Anne Boelyn was beheaded.

Fish and Chips

Belle dropped the fish and chips into the street (it was super greasy and the bag broke). We almost cried, but luckilly, British people like ethnic girls and gave us a free meal.Tini and me standing on the London bridge (not the one in Lake Havasu). The bridge we are holding on to (the bridge we actually thought was the London bridge) is the Tower Bridge. Vurry cute.

On the TUUUBE.
Picnic at the park...bought some food from Harrods. vurry yummy.

On an escalator somewhere, probably getting outta the tube.

woo. londy.

Crypts or Bloods?

So, long story short, I'm moving because my landlady is pretending she never saw my dog who is now contraband. =(

Dave, Chloe and I are making the move EEEAST...to Echo Park.

I'm trying to be optimistic about it, and I'm sure I'll join the ranks of Silverlake and Echo Park die hard lovers, but right now...I'm worried about the commute and I'm sad to be leaving 122 Orlando.

Leaving this...

For this...

Historic Echo Park...
Some fun things about Echo Park:
was the hub of old hollywood...silent movies, charlie chaplin, laurel and hardy
originally called edendale
the current home of the most amazing victorian houses (previous post)
at one point, home to Jackson Pollock and Elliot Smith

Just touched down in London Town

Taken right out of a song...Estelle feat. Kanye West. Heard it in London, can't get enough of it in LA.

London was so much fun.

first of all, we had amazing food...thanks to Erwan (and occasionally Bell too) who just took to the kitchen and made the most amazing food.

second of all, the weather was awesome

(alright that doesn't really demonstrate awesome weather, but i liked that pic so whatevs, just trust it was awesome weather).

awesome things i did:
1. made a guard laugh, ney snicker because I threatened to flash him.

2. saw the parthenon/elgin marbles (depending on your position in the debate about cultural property, looted property, stolen artwork etc) at the British Museum. We also saw other stuff, ie the Rosetta Stone

3. went to the tate modern where I saw the Duchamp, Manray, Picabia show and got in free thanks to my ICOM card (thank you Mommy Silvana).

4. got the bejeezus scared out of me in the london bridge experience

5. walked around from St. Paul's cathedral to the Tate Modern

6. Saw wicked for 10 GBP (about 20 USD)

7. Rode the tube.

very fun....

some not so awesome things that happened in London:
1. I got my camera, 20GBP and my oyster card (metro card) stolen totaling a loss of approximately $400. no fun.
2. We were on the tube and I saw an uncircumcized old british weiner "knob" poking out of an man's too-short shorts. Actually, this was pretty funny, I wouldn't say it was a down side.
3. I didn't feel that well.

Georgina is actually not in that many pictures that I scrounged up, but when I get home, I'll try to post more pics.

Thank you to my fabooo cousins Marco and Georgina for showing us around!!!

Going off to London Town

I'm going to London tomorrow, and I'm beside myself with excitement (please read this entire blog with a british accent in your head). Special shout out thank you to all the peeps who have prepared packets for me with things to do!

Other things in the works: Dave moving in...that's actually this gigantic mess that I'm turning a blind eye to. Thank the LAWD I'm going to be in London for the next few days so I can avoid it! Whooopeee!

Anyhoo, my niece (Samantha) and my nephew (Xavier) were here for a month a little while back. And they absolutely looove my Chloe (who doesn't?). Here are some cute pics my sis took. I didn't post them all because they're a little k i d d i e p o r n ish (I typed it out like that so some weirdo wouldn't be able to do a search for that word and find my loveable nephew). Anyway, so Xavi desperately wanted to get in the tub with Chloe (who doesn't enjoy bathing almost as much as Xavi), so they did and we couldn't figure out who made the water filthier.

Blogs and Babies

So, i'm entering the age in which everyone around me either:
1. is trying to have a baby (2 friends)
2. is having a baby (3 peeps)
3. just had a baby (2 peeps)
4. just got engaged (4 peeps)
5. just recently got married (3 peeps)
or
6. and lastly, for the wimps: is moving in with their significant other (3 including me)

Lets do some math...thats 2+3+2+4+3+3= a lot of growing up.

While all of these wonderful occasions are...wonderful...they're leaving me broke...but it's really alright because the payback is, I get to look at these wonderful blogs and pictures via facebook of these bebes and I get to go to beyond awesome weddings...and **mushy moment** i get to see my friends supah doopah happy...which is worth being broke for.

Anyway, some blogs with babies:
michellenuccio.blogspot.com that would be my godson Nico...the cutest thing EVER!
littlescullin.wordpress.com thats little Sofia who was just born last week..her mommy was once my colleague.

and..if you're up for it. this is my favorite blog:
mattlogelin.com i don't know him. He is Alexis' sister's friend's husband. Alexis' sister's friend (Liz) passed away the day giving birth, and her husband, Matt, continues this blog and tells all about his life with her and his new life with their daughter Madeline. It's an amazing blog with awesome pictures and stories of love..If I knew Oprah, i'd send her the link. It makes me cry every morning...sad and happy tears.

It's incredible. I have yet to comment on his blog and tell him that I love it...makes me want to stop nagging dave about his messy-ness and just tell him I love him...but for now, I'm still annoyed about coffee grounds and coffee mugs and overall boy-mess.

But for now, I bid you adieu (pronounced: "a Jew" in celebration of Passover)with my very own, new family picture.
