Big and Little

Every year on my birthday, I have a little chart and I write about different things in my life, ie travels, accomplishments, traumatic events, career etc. Last year, on my 26th birthday, I realized that during my 25th year, I did little but work and read. The year before, I graduated college, traveled all over Asia..basically a lot more stuff.

This really depressed me actually. I felt like I was in limbo. Too old to be irresponsibly traveling and bouncing around doing whatever I please, and too young to be working every minute and being so serious. This coupled with the fact that many of my friends are on very different sides of the spectrum really led me on a whirlwind of not knowing what the heck to do with myself.

Basically, I needed to feel like I was doing something with myself. Enter....Big Bros and Big Sis program of Los Angeles. I had always wanted to volunteer for this program, but never really had the time for it. I applied for this program that matches you with a kid that for one reason or another needs a mentor, or just someone to hang out with. They do SUPER extensive research on people just to make sure that you are a good match.

This is my Little. Her name is Emmely. She's super awesome, super smart and super special. Today we played with photobooth.

We went to see the Eiffel Tower.

Went to the moon and experienced zero-gravity.

Got on a rollercoaster.

Saw a waterfall.
And took a nap in the clouds.

What a DAY! We ended the day by watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants!

She and I are making our own joint blog, but I can't really make that public since the program is super strict and I'm not sure how they'd feel about that....

introducing....the B-man...BRONSON!

The day before Christmas eve, our friend called us to tell us that their friends were trying to find a new home for a male, pitbull puppy.

I'm a sucker for a good story.

This is Bronson. In his 4months of life, he has been through a LOT!

part 1.
lived in a home where he wasn't being treated very well.
part 2.
stolen from said home to live in another home where there were children. he, being a playful puppy, knocked these kids down while playing, thus leaving him to be chained up outdoors during a 5 day rain storm. sniff sniff.
part 3.
traded from home 2 for a bag of maryjuana to live in a small apartment with two very nice people who wanted to find him a good home.
part 4.
well....

livin' the good life with big sister chloe...whose butt smells really good apparently.

I've got myself a good guy that realizes that I'm absolutely nuts, but tolerates it anyway.

Cabo!

Yowza... this might be a long post since lots has happened...

First up...Dave's Christmas present to me.

Cabo.

These were taken at Lover's Beach (the locals pronounce it lauffer's bitch) in Cabo. It was so gorgeous and there weren't that many people there which was really nice!
Do you see me in the shades? He thought I was taking pictures of him hahhaha!

have I mentioned how much I love my Ray Ban Cats? I got them at the Pasadena swapmeet and they've rarely left my face since. I La La Laff my shades...

Next up....the wildlife in Cabo.

We took a boat trip and went snorkling and even saw whales and dolphins!

please ignore the burrito that is still lingering in my gut in this picture...
Do you see the dolphins in my pictures?

There were lots of fishermen...

Watching this fisherman pull this blue marlin out of his ice box and chuck it to the rocks to another fisherman really took the fanciness out of seafood. It was pretty barbaric and I was pretty horrified, but it didn't stop me from eating fish!
I'm sorry, I just realized how gross this all is, but I really love seafood!
We snuck into a resort and posed as guests so that we could use their super fab facilities. Check it out!

Alrightie, that's it for now, but I have a lot more to record on my blog!
